Compensation

We are recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)3 organization. This means that all revenue from state and philanthropic funding must go to the operations of American Leadership Academy. Furthermore, no part of the activities or the net earnings can unfairly benefit any director, officer, or any private individuals at American Leadership Academy.

At ALA we recognize that all employees contribute to the academic and overall success of our students. In line with legislative intent, our first objective was to see that all returning teachers received the increases as outlined by the state. All teachers at American Leadership Academy received an 11% increase to their base salary in addition to any increase allotted during the re-sign process. The average salary increase across all of our schools was 13% for FY19.

While Arizona state legislature mandated increased funding for teacher salaries, it did not include many members of our staff and faculty who are critical to the development of our students and essential for the success of our program. At ALA we evaluate compensation for our staff annually, and strive to remain competitive across all positions.
