American Leadership Academy

Meet Our Director:

Brent McArthur is the Director of the American Leadership Academy Gilbert North 7-12 campus.  He joined ALA in 2014 following 23 ½ years in the United States Air Force, where he served in a variety of leadership positions at the Pentagon, the US State Department and across the United States to include Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies at the University of South Alabama. He retired from the Air Force as a Colonel.

Brent served as the Chief Executive Officer of ALA from 2014 to 2017 and then became the Chief Operating Officer for Charter One, LLC (ALA’s management company).  He has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of West Florida and has Master’s degrees in Administration from Central Michigan University, Organizational Management from The George Washington University, Military Operational Art & Science from the Air Force’s Air Command & Staff College and National Resource Strategy from The Eisenhower School of National Security and Resources Strategy.

Brent and his wife Kimberly have lived in Gilbert, AZ since 2014 and have six children and three grandchildren.  In his spare time, he loves to read and play golf.
